James S. Powers, MD is a Professor of Geriatrics at Vanderbilt and Associate Director of Clinical Innovation at Tennessee Valley Healthcare System Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital in Nashville where he focuses on  Geriatric Nutrition, Education, and Healthcare Quality and Safety.  He leads numerous clinical projects concerned with falls prevention, caregiver support, treatment of dementia, and health systems improvement. He is pleased to serve on the board of the Tennessee Caregiver Coalition.
