DDA operates three seating and positioning clinics in Tennessee, located in Arlington, Nashville, and Greeneville. Mobile on-site services are available in East and West Tennessee.
Physical and occupational therapists with specialized expertise in evaluating complex seating and positioning needs provide comprehensive evaluations and support to prioritize needs. Each clinic has an associated manufacturing shop where staff with extensive experience in the areas of construction, carpentry, upholstering, and electronics, fabricate equipment to meet individualized needs.

Tennessee Early Intervention System (TEIS) is a voluntary program that offers therapy and other services to families of infants and young children with developmental delays or disabilities. Services are provided at no cost to families. TEIS is critically important to supporting the development of Tennessee children with disabilities and developmental delays as they prepare for school.

(Temporary Assistance for Needy Families – TANF)

TANF is a workforce development and employment program. The Families First program emphasizes work, training, and personal responsibility. It is temporary and has a primary focus on gaining self-sufficiency through employment. The Families First program helps participants reach this goal by providing temporary cash assistance, transportation, child care assistance, educational supports, job training, employment activities, and other support services.
The Employment and Community First CHOICES program is administered by TennCare through its contracted managed care organizations. It offers services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Services in the program will help people become employed and live as independently as possible in the community.
The Tennessee START Assessment & Stabilization Teams (TN START AST) are a statewide resource for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have complex behavioral or mental health needs. It optimizes independence, treatment, and community living for individuals with NDD and behavioral health needs.TN START AST provides prevention and stabilization through crisis response, stabilization planning, training and education, consultation, and formalized partnerships.
MAPs is a program that will set people with intellectual and developmental disabilities on a path to learn skills to help them work, live independently, learn about their neighborhoods, and find hobbies that interest them. MAPs service give people in the program the tools, technology, and support they need to meet the goal they set for themselves.
This program is available to anyone with an I/DD diagnosis who has graduated high school or will graduate within three years. MAPs participants cannot be enrolled in another long term services and supports program including ECF CHOICES, CHOICES, the Katie Beckett Program, or 1915(c) Waivers.

Autism Care Today’s goal is to introduce and help facilitate early and on-going treatment by providing the necessary resources (including referrals, funding and guidance) to individuals with autism and their families throughout the United States.
Autism Care Today’s Quarterly Assistance Program provides families with real help by directly paying their child’s service provider for services they would otherwise not be able to afford. Areas of support include but are not limited to: Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy, speech and occupational therapy, bio-medical testing, supplements, assistive technologies (i.e.- iPad, communication apps), safety equipment (such as safety fencing, GPS tracking devices and autism service dogs), social skills groups, special needs summer camps, and many more.
