Training and Technology Coordinator<\/b><\/span><\/h1>

Job Summary<\/span><\/h2>

The Training and Technology Coordinator will be responsible for implementing, managing, and maintaining the statewide <\/span>National Respite Care Provider Training<\/span><\/i> program and overseeing the launch and ongoing operation of the Tennessee Respite Care Registry. This position will play a central role in recruiting, training, onboarding, and supporting paid and volunteer respite providers to ensure they meet quality and safety standards and remain active in the registry. The Coordinator will also provide technical support, deliver monthly continuing education to volunteers, and collaborate with statewide partners to promote provider participation and caregiver awareness. This role includes regular outreach travel, including one overnight trip per month, to advertise the Respite Care Registry and the National Respite Care Provider Training.<\/span><\/p>

This is a hybrid position based in the Nashville office. During the first three months of employment, the position requires full-time, in-office work (40 hours per week) as part of an initial probationary and onboarding period. Upon successful completion of this three-month probationary period, the employee will be eligible to transition to a hybrid schedule, with a required minimum of two in-office days per week, and additional in-office time or travel as needed.<\/span><\/p>

The position requires reliable transportation for travel to visit partner sites and conduct outreach across the State.\u00a0 This position requires regular in-state travel, including a minimum of three consecutive overnight stays away from home per month, to conduct outreach at partner sites.<\/span><\/p>

This position includes a six-month probationary assessment period, with a performance review at 90 days and a final review at the six-month mark to assess progress, long-term fit, and success in the role. Continuation in the role is contingent upon meeting established performance standards.<\/span><\/p>

              • Implement the <\/span>National Respite Care Provider Training<\/span><\/i> for paid and volunteer respite providers using the TCC\u2019s online platform.<\/span><\/li>
              • Develop and deliver monthly continuing education sessions for providers and volunteers, covering topics such as dementia care, sensory-friendly practices, and safety protocols.<\/span><\/li>
              • Collaborate with partner agencies and experts to create supplemental training materials and videos on caregiving-related topics.<\/span><\/li>
              • Track training completion, competency assessments, and certification renewals.<\/span>

                Provider Recruitment, Onboarding & Retention<\/b><\/p>

                  • Actively recruit paid and volunteer respite providers statewide, with an emphasis on rural and underserved communities.<\/span><\/li>
                  • Guide providers through the training, background check, and onboarding process.<\/span><\/li>
                  • Maintain ongoing contact with all individuals who complete training to ensure they are successfully added to the registry, secure respite care positions, and remain engaged in the field.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>
                    • Monitor provider retention and develop strategies to keep providers active and committed to serving caregivers.<\/span>

                      Technology Management<\/b><\/p>

                        • Serve as the primary administrator for the training platform.<\/span><\/li>
                        • Oversee the functionality, updates, and data accuracy of the Tennessee Respite Care Registry in partnership with the University of Nebraska.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>
                          • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide user support to providers, volunteers, and caregivers accessing the registry or training platform.<\/span>

                            Collaboration, Outreach & Travel<\/b><\/p>

                            • Work with statewide partners, including state agencies, universities, and community organizations, to promote the registry and training opportunities.<\/span><\/li>
                            • Assist in outreach campaigns to raise awareness of respite resources among caregivers and potential providers.<\/span><\/li>
                            • Conduct monthly outreach trips, including one overnight trip per month, to promote the Respite Care Registry and the National Respite Care Provider Training at conferences, community events, and partner meetings.<\/span><\/li>
                            • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to project planning and evaluation activities.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

                              • Track and maintain accurate data for all programs, ensuring:<\/span>
                                • 100% of volunteer, caregiver, and provider participation data is entered within 24 hours of events or interactions.<\/span><\/li>
                                • Volunteer, provider, and program reports are submitted with 100% accuracy.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li>
                                • Provide regular program updates for board reporting by:<\/span>
                                  • Submitting 2\u20134 bullet points monthly that highlight program outcomes, wins, and activities<\/span><\/li>
                                  • Ensuring updates are written in the third person and submitted by noon on the second Monday of each month<\/span><\/li>
                                  • Maintaining a 100% on-time submission rate for monthly updates<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li>
                                  • Facilitate surveys of volunteers, caregivers, and providers twice per year, ensuring:<\/span>
                                    • Surveys are administered on schedule.<\/span><\/li>
                                    • Survey data is compiled and submitted to the Programs and Development Director within two weeks of collection.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/li>
                                    • Assist in organizing one large Caregiver Appreciation event in November, securing at least five sponsors\/partners for event support.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

                                      Community Outreach & Awareness<\/b><\/p>

                                      • Conduct at least 12 presentations per year to raise awareness of TCC services and recruit volunteers.<\/span><\/li>

                                                  The Tennessee Caregiver Coalition offers monthly Group Respite programs that give family caregivers a much-needed break while their loved ones enjoy a safe, welcoming environment.<\/p>

                                                  We host one program each month for children with disabilities and one program each month for older adults. During these evenings, volunteers spend time with participants through games, crafts, music, conversation, and other simple activities while our staff provide supervision and support.<\/p>

                                                  Group respite is a meaningful way to support caregivers in our community. By volunteering just a few hours, you can help create a joyful experience for participants while giving caregivers time to rest and recharge.
